This restaurant is a small mom and pop shop specializing in various rice noodle bowls and marinated cold appetizers. They even pickle their own green beans and vegetables in house. The ultimate noodle is their most popular dish with home made sauce and pickled vegetables! There is an option for sour and spicy or tongue tingling spices! They add bacon for a twist on the traditional dish, which made the dish more flavorful. I opted for the sour and spicy dry version and it was the perfect level of spice and flavor. (Would say its mild) If youre into mala numbing spicy, i would recommend the beef with rice noodle in mala spicy sauce! The restaurant is small with very few tables, but the dishes are served pretty fast. I would recommend trying this place if youre craving guilin noodles.

@dandan.guilinricenoodle in San Gabriel, California, takes the quality of their dishes and ingredients so pridefully and for good reason. With a fusion of mostly traditional Chinese flavors from Guilin, a city in China's southern Guangxi province, with a modern twist (hello, bacon), I unexpectedly took my (along with my mom's) tastebuds on trip down memory lane. The dishes we enjoyed were ones that my grandmother used to ALWAYS order for the table when she was alive We will be coming back super soon, as DanDan, the sweet owner, made us feel right at home and treated us like we were already family The plethora of regulars coming through as we were dining shows that you can not get anything like this anywhere else in LA. There are even frozen options in their freezers if you really want to enjoy their incredibly nostalgic dishes at the comfort of your own home We had: Cold Lemon Tea, Cold Chrysanthemum Tea, Hot & Spicy Pig Ears, Cold Dish Sampler, Ultimate Noodle, and House Hot & Sour Beef Rice Noodle Soup

One of the most authentic rice noodle spot in the LA area - Dandan's Guilin Rice Noodle. Everything is freshly made in-house, from the marinated cold sides to the noodle soup. I like their dried rice noodle dish and sour spicy beef rice noodle soup, each offering a perfect chewy texture. With homemade toppings and sauces, it's like enjoying a meal in Guilin, China. Beside the rice noodles, I love their freshly made, juicy Xiaolongbao, made to order and guaranteed to brighten your day. it will take 15-20 mins to make but it's worth the wait! There is a side bar provide many traditional cold side dishes like cold pig ear, seaweed salad and so on. It's freshly made, great side choice for summer

A homey mom and pop rice noodle spot! They offer different variations of rice noodles. I tried the ultimate noodle, which is their specialty dry noodle! I really enjoyed the flavor of the dry noodle with their special sauce (very white pepper heavy) and pickled green beans. I also really enjoyed the cold dishes. I got the shredded potato (my favorite), celery, and pig ear. My partner got the stewed beef noodle soup, which was also really good with a generous portion size. We topped off the meal with some refreshing watermelon juices, which was perfect for the summer heat.
